They have been one of 2025’s must see bands and are taking the alt scene by storm with their high energy electronic metalcore vibes - Lake Malice are at the end of what’s been probably one of the biggest years for the band and I had the chance to catch up with Blake and Alice fresh off the stage in Manchester’s Academy2 during their UK tour with Japanese metalcore icons Hanabie. Diving into 2025, new music and lots of riffs, we had a great chat about all things Lake Malice.

Being the main and only support of this run, it gave the due a great opportunity to showcase what they are all about and my god did they do that. Covering all basis, the pull out the serious action tunes that the crowd ate up and got the place moving. A great mix of old and new made up the set perfectly with “Scatterbrain” and most recent single “Nobody Wants To Be You” getting well deserved receptions. In between all of that the OG fans in the room had their fix of old school Lake Malice with “Creepers” and debut single “Blossom.” There was also the added treat of a new single “Ghost” that gave us a slight clue of the next direction the band are going in.

Despite only being a support slot we still got the usual of Blake taking a trip into the crowd to get the pit going for “Mitsuko” before the amazing “Stop The Party” and “Bloodbath” rounded off things in style. Time and time again Lake Malice show why so many eyes are on them, closing off a big year in style with one eye on 2026 and the next chapter.
