With Feel Trip setting the foundation and Almost Monday carrying that energy through the night, Austin was given more than a lineup of great performances. It was given a reminder of what live music can be at its best: a place where strangers become part of the same experience, where joy is contagious, and where being unapologetically yourself is not only accepted but encouraged.

There is something special about a band coming home. The familiar faces in the crowd, the friends and family who have been there since the beginning, and the people who watched from the sidelines, believing in the possibility of a moment like this long before it arrived. On a night in Austin, Culture Wars turned that feeling into something tangible, filling the room with an energy that feels less like a concert and more like a celebration of everything that brought them there.

On the third and final night of their sold-out residency at Nashville’s Basement East, Greta Van Fleet reminded a room of fewer than 600 people that the greatest thing a band can build is not an image, but a community.

There was no attempt to separate the music from that identity. Queerness, humor, vulnerability, politics and self-expression all existed naturally within the same set. MUNA as a group could move from a joke to a political statement to a stripped-back acoustic moment without any of it feeling out of place.
