Ground Control Touring and NOISE FOR NOW Come Together to Support Independent Abortion Clinics and Funds in NYC Through Live Music

January 24th, 2026- New York, NY

People came together in New York City at Bowery Ballroom on Saturday for the 4th Annual Abortion Access Benefit Series, presented by Ground Control Touring, partnering with NOISE FOR NOW, a nonprofit organization surrounding reproductive justice. The event featured seven different artists on stage, including Widowspeak, Sharp Pins, Joyer, Holidays In The United States, Golden Apples, Been Stellar, and Victoryland. Along with these astounding performances, the venue hosted DJ sets from Maurice, Icky!/Shower Curtain, Lip Critic, and Mgna Crrrta. The night was surrounded by phenomenal music, while supporting independent abortion clinics and abortion funds.

Each artist performed for about 30 minutes, bringing a unique ambiance to the venue with a variety of genres and sounds. Widowspeak blended dream pop and shoegaze, Sharp Pins leaned into Lo-fi indie. Joyer, Golden Apples, and Been Stellar brought indie-rock. Holidays In The United States blended midwest emo and screamo. Victoryland relaxed the audience with indie/avant-pop. Between sets, a comedian, Sienna Hubert-Ross, performed a stand up routine, keeping the crowd engaged. The organization was also encouraging donations, which were made by scanning a QR code on a screen behind the stage. This was an amazing and very effective way to get more people to participate in such an important cause.

The vibrant energy throughout the venue set an enthusiastic tone for the charity, bringing great attention to a pressing issue. Gathering so many different types of talented artists and people located close to New York City to raise money for abortion access was truly impactful, and I’m glad I got to be a part of the event.

It’s also extremely inspiring to see that Ground Control Touring and NOISE FOR NOW come together to put on Abortion Access Benefit Series shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Austin, as well as NYC. I hope to attend many more of these events in the future, and I highly recommend that you check out one of their shows if you are located near any of the cities!
