Keeping Up the Momentum with Never Ending Fall

04.23.26 - Austin, TX

Touring all across the U.S., Never Ending Fall finally brought their headlining Momentum Tour to Austin, TX at Brushy Street Commons.

The night began with Capital Soirée, a Chicago-based alt-indie group that was kicking the night off on a high note. They announced it was only their third day on tour, and they were proud to be on stage supporting Never Ending Fall. Their stage presence was everything but lacking as they officially took on an Austin stage for the first time, which “wasn’t a dive bar” in their words. They knew to show up and show out, making their entire set a huge dance party. Playing only originals, they kept the crowd loud and vibes high leading up to the headliners. Acknowledging their team onstage and off, making sure the people and the crowd that helped to get them where they are got their praise. They took their time to speak to the audience even as they were tearing down their set and at the merch booth to meet and thank their audience that night.

As Never Ending Fall began to take the stage, the crowd was loud with enthusiasm and excitement. It didn’t take much to get the crowd to start dancing and chanting; the first strum of the guitar and first beat of a drum got the crowd moving. No second was wasted with their performance, and every second was cherished by the audience.

People had come from all over to witness the group in action in Austin. Coming from as far as Kansas City, following the band on tour, and meeting new people to create and share memories that can’t be replicated. Everyone was dancing and singing together, holding hands, cheering, and living in the moment, thanks to Never Ending Fall.

They feed off the energy the crowd gives and make sure to keep that energy going all night; not that they need to do much to keep the vibes where they started all night. Though the group of five was indeed taking their opportunities to jump into the crowd, sing in the faces of their fans, and even share kisses with each other in joy and celebration.

It’s a night unmatched, never once dimming in energy despite a tempo change. At the start of their encore, they came out with an outfit change. Fitting the Texas standards of cowboy hats and denim, the group decided to double down, inviting even more applause and cheers from the crowd. Never Ending Fall didn’t take for granted how high-energy the crowd was that night. Continuously acknowledging that the energy of Austin, though only the first week in, has been the best thus far on tour. To quote Johnny, their bassist, Austin had “the most energy at a show” they had ever played to date. It seems everything is bigger and better in Texas.

I was grateful for the opportunity to capture the group in action, having first witnessed their insane energy levels a year ago as my introduction. Knowing that, it’d be a group I’d love to work with and share with others in the future. It was a beautiful night worth capturing, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Momentum Tour has in store for them. If you’re given the chance, their tour has only just begun; take the opportunity and experience the joy that is Never Ending Fall.
