Look Out! Florida Just Got Colder With Mayday Parade!

After 20 long years, Florida’s very own emo veterans Mayday Parade start their Three Cheers for 20 Years tour tonight in Florida! Now, normally I never walk into a concert being the first show on the tour, as that’s only happened twice, and it still feels very weird walking in blind to a show where you don’t know the setlist. Opening their set with the live debut of “By The Way” off their very recent release of album Sweet. The big highlight of the night for me personally was finally getting to hear “Jersey” and “Jamie All Over”. Mayday’s photographer had warned a couple of us that they had planned on doing confetti sometime during the show— I immediately ran back into the crowd to time my shots perfectly, because, you know, who doesn’t like confetti and glitter?! The crowd participation was in full swing as they lit up the venue and sang along to every song that the band played that night. If you haven’t heard of or seen Mayday Parade before, I highly suggest you catch them on this headlining run and have the time of your life!
