Enter a new era of modern rock with The Band CAMINO

“She loves chocolate and M&M’s

And her ice cream and her brother’s dog more than him

The Band CAMINO is making a comeback that is sure to leave a mark on the year of 2025. Having just announced a new album, NeverAlways, which will be followed by The NeverAlways Tour this fall, the band has been teasing what’s to come with recent single releases “Infinity”, “Baggy Jeans”, and most recently, “Stupid Questions” and “Hates Me Yet (222)”. What makes these new releases worthy of a listen, and what makes the band worthy of a fandom?

The Band CAMINO, comprised of Jeffrey Jordan, Spencer Stewart, and Garrison Burgess, has been on the music scene for nearly a decade. Finding success in their EP “tryhard”, followed by their self titled debut album and sophomore album “The Dark”, they have managed to find their footing in the current music world, having their own unique sound of modern soft rock.

Their most recent singles, “Stupid Questions” and “Hates Me Yet (222)” have proven to be a perfect tease of what’s to come in the new album this August. “Stupid Questions” has a 2000s rock feel, something straight out of a rom-com of the same decade. The verses do what the title suggests, by asking “stupid” questions that many of us find ourselves asking in certain circumstances. “Will I ever quit playing with matches?” “How am I still calling you up, drunk and asking stupid questions?” This single is a good example of how The Band CAMINO can write relatable works.

On top of “Stupid Questions”, a softer, much needed acoustic song followed, that being “Hates Me Yet (222)”. Much like their other recent songs, this one feels straight out of a movie, in the best way possible. “Hates Me Yet (222)” provides a soft, acoustic feel to get encapsulated in, as well as  lyrics that add a touch of modern day love storytelling. The song includes lines such as “She gets my obscure YouTube references” and “she loves rock, paper, scissors, she knows how to win”, which feel so unique, and paint a picture of what young love can feel like in the 2020s, all while doing so as if it’s 2003.

The Band CAMINO has an exciting latter half of the year ahead of them, and they want you to be a part of it. With a ten track album and fall tour on the horizon, it will surely be a memorable year for them. If the rest of the album is anything like these singles, then it will be a memorable listen for everyone.
