Bruce Springsteen - “I’m on Fire”off Born in the U.S.A. (1984)

Senior Writer Megan Lorich - This is the best Bruce Springsteen song, argue at the wall. Everything you need to know about the protagonist of the song, the reason why they are so drawn to the love interest mentioned, is revealed in its first line: "Hey little girl, is your daddy home? Did he go and leave you all alone." It's both codependency and comfort. It's confession and yearning with some sexy toxicity thrown in for good measure. It's also such a vivid song. "At night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet and a freight train running through the middle of my head." "It's like someone took a knife, baby, edgy and dull, and cut a six inch valley through the middle of my skull." There's so much pain, wanting, and comfort in those two minutes and thirty-nine seconds. I have cried listening to it on repeat at 2 A.M. many a time. Here is an edit of Jack Abbott (of The Pitt) to this track as both evidence for my point and as an apology: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTkR1wdVY/

flipturn - Burnout Days (Reimagined) (2026)

Live Coverage Photographer Mari G. - When Burnout Days was released in 2025, I loved the album already and grew to love it even more after seeing flipturn perform the songs live a few times last year. But in an act of humble collaboration, flipturn gave their artist friends creative freedom to make each song their own, thus resulting in Burnout Days (Reimagined). Listening through this album is like experiencing a whole new album, but with the familiarity of songs I already love. “Juno (Remix)” features artist Druzin, which is actually flipturn’s Mitch Fountain on his solo project. The slowed down, folky intimacy that lighthearted brings to “Window (Reimagined)” and Jack Van Cleaf brings to “Sunlight (Reimagined)” create gorgeous new versions of these songs I already loved.

Harry Styles - Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally (2026)

Staff Photographer Beth Evans - Harry’s first album in 4 years!!

I’ll smile when life hits the wall
But inside, I’m afraid
Even in the great abyss
It’s the year of the optimist
— "Year of the Optimist" by Beach Bunny

Beach Bunny - “Year of the Optimist” (2025)

Live Coverage Editor & Senior Writer Kaitlyn Serafin - A song that sounds like it could be in the intro of a 2000’s movie that talks about people-pleasing and toxic positivity?I have spent a lot of time lately in therapy, touching on these ideas and a million other worries as I near the end of my Master’s Degree so when I say this song hits, I mean it. I just keep repeating to myself this specific line from the chorus:

Hannah Montana - Hannah Montana 3 (2009)

Live Coverage Editor & Senior Photographer Rebecca Ackerman- With the 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana airing this month, I found myself diving back into her discography from the show. Hannah Montana was such a huge part of my childhood (I dressed up as her for a class project in elementary school), so reliving those years and seeing the cast come back together was a full circle moment for me. There are so many songs that trigger my nostalgia, but I almost always am clicking play on "He Could Be the One" and "If We Were A Movie" first.

Fleetwood Mac - Tango in the Night (1987)

Staff Photographer Deanna Garza - It’s my pick for March because recently I’ve been told by a lot of loved ones and friends that certain songs from this specific Fleetwood album reminds them of me. It seems anywhere I go I’m playing “Little Lies”, “Big Love”, or “Everywhere” and I share it with everyone.

Moodring - death fetish (2026)

Senior Photographer Trev -death fetish has been my most anticipated album of the year for the last couple years and now it’s finally out in the world. having seen the teasers posted by the band for the last three years, this album truly surpassed every expectation i had for it. it truly is a masterpiece and a work of art. my favorite track off death fetish is “STFA” because of how the vocals soar, the breakdowns hit really hard and it’s just overall super
