2000Trees Announce Thursday Night Headline Replacement As Big Name Drops Out
With less than a week to go until 2000Trees open their gates for the 2026 edition, the organisers were struck with an issue as Thursday headliners Alkaline Trio were forced to cancel their UK shows including the Trees slot due to medical issues, a sad loss for a set that was sure to set the place off.
Within hours of the news, the organisers have pulled things out the bag quick time securing festival legends and party heroes Don Broco as the new Thursday headliners. With their latest record Nightmare Tripping only a few months old and only fresh off the stage supporting Biffy Clyro on their biggest ever headline show in London, this slot will be sure to send the Trees crowd into a frenzy as they always do having only topped the bill 2 years ago. The band are also gearing up to hit the road across Europe and the UK at the end of the year to help celebrate the new album. They are back with a whole new set but the same chaotic energy - get ready Trees, its time to swing those t-shirts.
Alongside Don Broco, there was also some late changes made across the bill with Newcastle rockers Wildhearts slotting into The Cave to take place of Militarie Gun who will be replacing Lambrini Girls on main stage who have also sadly have to withdraw from the festival.
The festival is increasingly close to selling out yet again and with the news of Bedford’s Don Broco joining the bill alongside fellow headliners Neck Deep and Funeral For A Friend, its likely the remaining tickets won’t be there for long.
