Slam Dunk Drop Set Times & Reveal Dedicated Stage To Festival Legend

As we draw ever closer to summer and the beginning of festival season, Slam Dunk have dropped this years set times and stage splits for the festival that is fast approaching - as you can imagine with such a stacked line-up, there are one or two tricky decisions to be made across the weekend.

The names spread across this years festival are very tasty and ranks the bill up there with one of the best the festival has ever produced - with huge names like Good Charlotte, Knocked Loose, State Champs & Sublime to name a few taking to the fields of Hatfield and Leeds during the May Bank Holiday, the 20th anniversary is set to be something special.

Prior to the splits being revealed, Slam Dunk announced a fitting tribute to someone who was an integral part of not only the festival but the Leeds music scene as a whole. Scott Hickinson was the manager of Leeds Key Club and played such a huge part in the growth of so many bands near and far who passed through the city over the years and his impact will always be remembered. His dedication and commitment to music was visible in everything he done and this year The Key Club stage will be named in his memory to Scott’s Key Club stage that will be headlined by Deaf Havana who will be celebrating 15 years of Fools and Worthless Liars - they will also be joined by the likes of Vukovi, Trash Boat and The Home Team.

The festival will also see its very own heavy/hardcore stage with two stages running alongside each other with no clashes - expect to see some serious action from the likes of Leeds hardcore rising stars Pest Control, Manchester’s Guilt Trip who are just going from strength to strength and ‘mystery’ band President who will be sure to bring a huge crowd. The stages will be topped by the incredible Malevolence and Knocked Loose, two very lively sets that you do not want to miss.

The Monster Energy stage will house the likes of Tonight Alive,, Stand Atlantic and the always entertaining Boston Manor. Not forgetting the Main Stage where we’ll be seeing the incredible Taking Back Sunday, Zebrahead and of course the pop punk kings Good Charlotte close out the day with what we all know will be a fun filled 90 minutes.

For those who are eager to plan ahead, you can download the Slam Dunk app on IOS and Android to begin your tricky selections for the big day in May. Tickets are flying for this year as they always do so don’t be surprised to see a sold out sticker appear on the poster soon. The countdown is on.
