Spring Is On The Horizon In Orlando!

4.16.2026 - Orlando, Florida

The Spring Horizons tour made it’s way to Orlando at the infamous House Of Blues in Disney Springs and gave exactly what a modern metalcore lineup promises: controlled chaos, emotional weight, and a relentless crowd that never lets up. Featuring The Amity Affliction, August Burns Red, Boundaries, and Heavensgate, the night felt more of an endurance test rather than your typical concert.

Opening was none other than Australia’s very own Heavensgate, who wasted no time setting the tone for the night. Their set was short but explosive, leaning heavily into crushing breakdowns and tight, aggressive delivery that immediately sparked the first wave of movement in the pit. Boundaries, one of my favorite bands that I’ve discovered in the last few years, followed and, in my opinion, delivered one of the best sets of the night. Their sound translated live with raw, punishing energy—less polished, more visceral, and the crowd responded accordingly. The pit turned volatile, sending crowdsurfers around and turning the floor into one giant mosh pit, sending bodies flying as their chaotic riffs and relentless pacing took over. To date, this might be the best Boundaries set I’ve seen, coming from someone who has seen them play a small 75-cap room all the way to amphitheaters with 20k people!

As the co-headlining portion of the night started, The Amity Affliction brought a very noticeable shift in the atmosphere— along with a very drastic lineup change centered around “clean” vocals. The Amity Affliction is one of the bands that during my teenage years kind of defined my taste in music as a whole and had a huge part in my growing up. I’ve been a fan of Amity ever since “Let The Ocean Take Me” dropped. 2024 marked the year in which vocalist and founding member of the band, Ahren Stringer, departed the band for many reasons, which then brought in replacement Jonny Reeves, who is also the vocalist for another metalcore band called “Kingdom Of Giants”. The band entered a new chapter on stage with Reeves delivering clean vocal sections with confidence and the emotional clarity that you’d expect to see and hear, preserving the band’s signature contrast between melody and heaviness. While longtime fans could feel the transition, the performance never lost its impact. Their set leaned into the emotionally charged material, with themes of loss and resilience hitting especially hard as the crowd screamed every word back.

Closing out the night, August Burns Red showcased their technical mastery and veteran presence. Their performance was razor sharp, with technical guitar work and perfectly timed transitions that highlighted just how tight they are as a live band that’s been going at it for 20 plus years. Importantly, they closed their set with authority, bringing the evening to a powerful and precise finish. The energy never dipped— instead, it evolved into something more controlled and demanding. Where earlier sets thrived on chaos, ABR thrived on the discipline, delivering a finale that felt both calculated and explosive.

The venue created an intimate but intense environment, amplifying every breakdown and crowd reaction. Overall, the Orlando date wasn’t just another stop on a tour — it was a showcase of the genre’s range, from emotional depth to unrelenting brutality. Each band brought something distinct, yet together they creative a cohesive, high-impact experience that left the crowd utterly speechless and satisfied.
