On March 20th 2026, Christian French released the final part of his mixtape series, ‘The Nostalgia Tapes’, with two new tracks, ‘deja blues’ and ‘big dreamer’. French has been working on this project for a year and is ready to share the full story with the world. Over the last year, Christian has released three separate installments of this project, which, when listened to from top to bottom, tell a story in the end with this final installment. For those who have been fans of Christian for a while, know that this is a step back into the pop world for him, highlighting his unique songwriting and production talents. As Christian has stepped away from the EDM side of the industry and is entering this new chapter, he is creating tracks with folk and pop elements that set him apart with a fresh perspective.

The project’s sonic palette matches its release tone, as it was released in the early spring. French captures the elements of spring through his project and the variations of tracks. This project is truly ‘Deja Blues.’ The project's focus track captures the feeling of missing someone. Christian adding this track to the project highlights doing things that you used to do with someone you used to be with. This track is truly relatable because it can apply to family, friends, or a significant other, and everyone has someone they were close to.
My favorite track off this whole project is ‘Send It My Way’, it feels almost weightless when listening to it. This track instantly transports you to a world of carefree summery feeling. Another track that provides the exact same feeling is ‘Blue Skies and Open Roads.’ Listening to this song makes you feel like you are driving down the PCH with the windows down; French really knows how to capture the perfect spring and summer with these two tracks.
Christian continues to prove that he is a strong figure in the industry, and this project really captures that. French has recently joined the platform Twitch as a creator to expand his engagement with his fans and dive deeper into what making music looks like. Recently, French wrote out and produced an acoustic version of his track ‘Deja Blues.’
