Kaleb Cohen Made Santa Ana Feel Like An “East Coast Summer”
November 6th, 2025 - Santa Ana, CA
Kaleb Cohen brought his headline U-turn tour to the Constellation Room in Santa Ana. After I discovered Kaleb’s music back in July, I knew I needed to see him live the second he went on tour. Kaleb’s music genuinely captures what it means to be young and free, and I just know he can be the next big star that the industry has.
Syd Taylor stepped onto the stage, opening up the show, putting on an incredible set. Syd performed some of her songs from her new album titled After The Fact. My favorite song she performed was titled “You’re a Woman.” Syd’s music truly captured the tones of 60s and 90s-styled music. This was my first time seeing Syd live, and she was truly incredible.
After a short teardown after Syd's set, Kaleb stepped up on stage, and the energy was electric. Kaleb was surrounded by good company this evening as his friends and frat bros cheered him on during every song. When speaking to Cohen after the show, he mentioned this was an adjacent hometown show since he originally is from Connecticut. The love and support that came out for Kaleb was unreal, and it really showed how much he is supported in his career.
Kaleb performed his discography, and he performed some of my favorite songs, such as “Our Eyes Met On Friday,” “Don’t Want to Love You,” and “Morning Sun.” Kaleb brought electric energy with the help of his band and put on an incredible show. Cohen performed several covers through the night as well; he performed “Kilby Girl” by the Backseat Lovers, “Revival” by Zach Bryan, and “Brown Eyed Girl” by Van Morris. He also played the crowd an unreleased song that he wrote to his younger self; the song was filled with raw and deep emotion that Cohen played on the keyboard.
Kaleb ended with his hit song “East Coast Summers.” Cohen released this song just for fun, and before he knew it, the song went viral on TikTok. Cohen has really captured what summer sounds like through this song. The crowd went wild during this song, and the room felt electric and alive. This song really captures many elements of life, and Cohen really brought that out with his stage presence. Cohen really knows how to put on a show, and for this being one of his first headline tours, he truly killed the show.
